“100 Faces: A Benefit for FACE AIDS”

“100 Faces” is Public Works premier portrait art show recognizing World AIDS Day and benefitting one of the nation’s most successful youth-led non-profits, FACE AIDS.

Featuring 100 portraits by local, international and student artists in a variety of different mediums, each piece explores a unique way faces can convey identities and emotions outside the constraints of advertisements and publications.  The diverse approaches to the genre invite visitor to ask:  Who are these people?  What identity do they portray?  Is their story that of the beholder, or who the subject is meant to be?

Each face featured in the show, not unlike those of loved ones, challenges the viewer to examine the possibility of being profoundly moved, and moving others, by the expressions we project and perceive.

Please join us for an evening of art, refreshments and conversation while supporting a great cause!
