TUNNEL VISION

TUNNEL VISION is a Punk Photography exhibit celebrating the SF Punk Renaissance 2015 and the 40th Anniversary of Punk with a show by several photographers who captured the scene to maximum effect using grainy black & white film. It will feature photographs of both punk celebrities and fans of the California First Wave Punk scene, 1977-82.
This  4th photography exhibit from the PunkRockSewingCircle presents a veritable who’s who of early punk photographers!  Richard Peterson, one of the founding members from Search & Destroy Magazine, brings a selection of his surreal portrayals, Sue Brisk exposes her insiders wide angle view of intensely personal and gritty images of after hours parties and moments of abandon. Vince Anton salvaged his large punk images from a flood; they have a damaged beauty. Joe Truck crisscrossed the country to photograph his early anti-heros from the punk scene in color, as they are now.  Ruby Ray and Kamera Zie present their classic punk.
TUNNEL VISION’s Opening Night Extravaganza, September 23, 6pm- Midnight, at Roll Up Gallery and Public Works, with showing of rare punk films, live music with Gimme Danger, and later, a dance party!
