Another Woogie Nights Is Upon Us

The Do Lab down in LA know how to throw a dang-good party, as do their friends Pocket Underground. Well, they’ve teamed up once again to deliver a kick-ass shindig at Public Works on Saturday, March 10th. Yessirree, this will be a good one, just look who’s on board. The headliner is John Tejada, the LA-based producer who has been putting out quality music for the body that also tickles the head since way back in the mid-90s. Check his most recent long player, Parabolas, on Kompakt for a lesson in how to craft danceable techno.

Also on the bill are Idiot Savant, a DJ duo comprised of Ron Levy and Jesse Wright. They’ve been on the Pocket Underground team since 2004 and their sound is organic, psychedelic, sexy and completely Kosher…Glatt Kosher, so be prepared.  Next up is Markie B, an SF DJ who was baptized at the Pink Mammoth parties. He combines a deep appreciation for house music with the soulful funk sound of his native New Orleans. Expect to be rocked and funked all at once. And completing the roster of talent is Leafy Green, the man from Santa Cruz who can, and does, at parties all around the bay and beyond.

The party kicks off at 9:00PM and finishes at around 3:00AM, so that’s six hours for working it out on the floor at the Works. I’m sure you can, we know you can.
