BON VOYAGE, BURNERS!!!!!

it’s a hotly contested issue…whether or not San Francisco becomes somewhat of a ghost town during Burning Man. As someone who went to Burning Man for the last time in 2000, I can tell you that the city becomes, while not quite a ghost town, a much mellower version of itself. Maybe it’s the fact that an estimated 30,000 people from San Francisco make the exodus to the Black rock Desert, but that’s only like 2% of the SF population. Or maybe its the fact that all the excitement and energy leading up to the week people leave is so vibrant and ubiquitous that when the flood of burners take off to Nevada, the rest of San Francisco feels a proverbial weight lifted off it’s shoulders, a sigh of relief that the excitement has subsided. Whatever the reason..it’s a win win situation for everyone. to celebrate the mass exodus, we’ll be having a little Bon Voyage soiree this weekend with special guest NICO STOJAN
