Jeez, James Teej At The Works!

James Teej, the excellent, Toronto-based dj and producer is playing at Fedora’s birthday party on Saturday, May 12th. You probably remember last years kick-ass shindig when Fedora teamed up with us to  put on Soul Clap — who were on their DJ Kicks tour — and label mates Wolf + Lamb. The Wolf+Lamb brigade laid down the grooves for nearly nine hours. This do with Teej is gonna be on that level.

The Canadian has put out a clutch of very strong releases since 2008 on labels like Rekids, Connect Four Records, We Play House and his own My Favorite Robot Records. His special style of remixing has meant that his reworkings have been featured on releases by the likes of Trentemoller, Adultnapper, Toby Tobias, and Art Department’s Kenny Glasgow. His work has made it into the playlists of djs such as, Laurent Garnier, Radio Slave, Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia, Osunlade and Seth Troxler. Most recently he has collaborated with legendary British dj, Sasha, on the Bring On The Night EP, released on Sasha’w own Last Night On Earth Imprint.

Also on the bill are local faves MossMoss of As You Like It, Jason Kendig of Honey Soundsystem and the Fedora chaps themselves, Michael Perry and Matt Wilder. It’s gonna be a wild night so please join us on the floor on the Loft at the Works for another banging birthday party in the month of May!
